Michael DiGiantommaso

(1980 - 2004)

My son Michael was the love of my life. He was a fun loving, kind, sweet, and caring boy. He was captain of his high school football and wrestling teams. He had a loving family, a nice home, a cat, a puppy, a fish, and a mom who loved him dearly. He lived a good life until sometime in his early 20's.  Somehow he began to experiment with drugs.  Never thinking he would become addicted. But, sadly he did. He struggled to fight the demon that lived within him. He never thought he would die. He told me, "mom I'll be ok, I'm fine" Michael's brother found him dead on his bedroom floor on May 15, 2004 at 7:30 AM on a Saturday. There was nothing they could do to save him. He finally lost his battle, the demon won. The drug dealer is still walking the streets, killing his victims so he can support himself. I miss my son. I miss his smile and his loving personality. If all the love in the world could have saved him, he would have been here today.  Over 500 friends and family paid their last tribute to Michael on that sad day. I think of him every minute but, he is now my angel and finally free of pain and suffering.

I Love you Mikey, Love, Mom
