Angela Chelsea Smith
(1979 - 1998)
On February 10, 1998, my baby girl ended her horrendous struggle with Heroin. Angela battled the demon of Heroin for only 3 short months, but in that time, the addiction sucked the life force from behind her beautiful eyes and smile. I guess she thought Heroin would ease the pain of the severe abuse she suffered as a child before we adopted her. All she wanted was a family to love her and that I did with my whole heart. She was a wonderful person with alot of promise in her life and I will miss growing old as I watched her grow up. I will miss her smile, her "I love you mom's" and her gentle arms hugging me. Don't let anyone fool you, HEROIN KILLS. It kills not only the addict, but also the family members. It kills our hopes, our dreams, and our futures with our loved ones. In this wall of remembrance we honor their fight against the drug that consumed them, and keep their memory alive so that others may look, read, and choose another path, not addiction! Life is precious and short. Lets work at helping these people overcome this demon, and making the possibility of adding to this list less likely. Thank you for this chance to Remember my daughter and share the hope that their is life after Heroin!!! In Angela's name we have begun a Heroin Awareness program to go into schools and educate children about the dangers of Heroin, and in her death, be able to save lives with her story........................................ Thank You, Angie's Mom |
